We want you to be satisfied with every order. If something is wrong, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please have your order number or receipt ready when you get in touch.

1. Our standard returns position

Returns are not accepted as a standard policy. We sell electronics and technical components, and most products are tested and verified before dispatch.

However, we understand that problems can arise. Return or exchange requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed to be accepted. If you have a concern about your order, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Passive and semiconductor electronic components, including but not limited to ICs, transistors, FETs, TRIACs, DIACs, IGBTs, SCRs, diodes, inductors, capacitors, resistors, bridge rectifiers, fuses, and similar components, are not covered under warranty.

All types of batteries, including AA, AAA, 18650, LiPo, Li-Ion, LiFePO4, and similar battery products, are also excluded from warranty coverage. However, if a battery is found to be defective or fails to function properly within 7 days of delivery, we may, at our discretion, provide a replacement or refund following our standard return and inspection process.

2. When you can request a return or exchange

If you believe your item is eligible for return or exchange, you must contact us within 7 days of the date of purchase or delivery, whichever applies.

To be considered for return or exchange, the item must be:

• Unopened and in its original sealed packaging.
• Unused and in the same condition as received.
• Accompanied by your original receipt or online order reference.

3. Items that cannot be returned

The following cannot be returned:

• Items that have been opened, used, or removed from their original packaging.
• Items showing signs of physical damage, modification, or misuse.
• Items outside the 7-day contact window.
• Items for which we cannot verify the original purchase.

Please note that even items meeting the above conditions are reviewed case by case. Meeting the criteria does not guarantee an accepted return.

4. Faulty or wrong items

If you receive an item that appears to be faulty or if we sent the wrong product, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order.

When you contact us, please include:

• Your order number or receipt.
• A clear description of the issue.
• Photos of the item and any visible damage or fault.

We may ask for additional details before confirming next steps. If the fault is confirmed as a manufacturing defect or a fulfilment error on our part, we will arrange a replacement or refund without additional cost to you.

5. How to start a return or complaint

Contact us at info@elcoanlanka.lk or +94 78 682 5313 with your order reference and a description of the issue. We will reply within 2 working days with the next steps. Do not send items back without hearing from us first, as unannounced returns cannot be processed.

6. Inspection and service charges

Where an item needs to be physically inspected before a return or exchange decision can be made, a service charge may apply depending on the product. We will let you know the amount before any work begins.

7. Return shipping

If a return is approved, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We recommend using a tracked courier service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit on the way back to us.

If the return is due to a fault or error on our part, we will cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

8. Refund process and timeline

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will let you know the outcome within 7 working days. If the return is approved:

• A refund will be issued to your original payment method.
• Bank settlement times vary depending on your bank and payment method and are outside our control.
• Alternatively, we may issue store credit or arrange an exchange, depending on the situation.
